St. Edmund’s College (abbreviated as SEC) is one of the premier institutions, situated in Shillong (a hill station in the northeastern part of India), Meghalaya (a state in northeast India), India (also known as the Republic of India). It was established in the year 1924 and honored its Platinum Jubilee in the year 1999. SEC college is one of the oldest colleges in Meghalaya and 2nd oldest in Northeast India. The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various specializations including Economics, English, Geography, History, Khasi, Political Science, Sociology, Commerce, Social Work, Computer Applications, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology. St. Edmund’s College has managed its excellence by continue introducing new programs, updating its infrastructure, obtaining the highest academic record and managing regulation of the scholars.
